The Future of Weblogging

No one knows where weblogging will go in the future. It hasn’t even celebrated it’s 10th birthday yet, and already millions of people all over the world are doing it. Perhaps this trend will continue to grow, but perhaps, it will be a short-lived fad. No one knows. Some scholars suggest it will not stick around: “as with other Internet phenomena that have soared sharply in popularity over a short period of time, weblogs-or blogs-are awash in hype (Bonus). Whether or not this happens remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain when it comes to Weblogging: before it goes anywhere, it is only going to get bigger.
