A raffle has been held at two Amphitheatre shows so far this season for the benefit of Cyprus Kidney Association [expats].  Money raised is towards the much needed new dialysis machine at Paphos General Hospital.

Within the Paphos General Hospital, the Renal Unit now houses 12 dialysis machines, with only one spare to allow for the frequent breakdowns due to their age and constant use.   The unit is in urgent need of more machines to cope with the extra patients that are becoming reliant on this life saving treatment, without which they would invariably die within one week.

The amount raised at Tala over the two shows totals €1,087.50 and Cyprus Kidney Association [expats] has now raised a total of around €18,000 against a target of €25,000.   This €25,000 will buy one new dialysis machine.

Cyprus Kidney Association [expats] would like to thank everyone  who has attended Tala Amphitheatre for their generosity.   However, help is still needed.   How can you help?

- by attending functions or fund raising events that they organise
- by buying raffle tickets [at Totally Retro on 21 August, and at Sister Act on 7 September*]
- by helping sell raffle tickets
- by helping at any fund raising events Cyprus Kidney Association [expats] are involved with
- by donating via PayPal [there is a link on the site below]
- by providing raffle prizes

Volunteers are also required for a synchronised swim team later this year - the ability to swim is not necessary!!
