POLICE IN SPEEDING CLAMPDOWN THIS WEEK

According to an announcement by Police Headquarters in Nicosia, the clampdown will get underway on Monday, 17 July until Sunday, 23 July. Dozens of traffic police officers will dispatched to the island’s main roads and motorways.

Police have been clamping down on speeding motorists in the height of the summer season with the number one cause of road deaths in Cyprus down to speeding, followed by drinking and driving.
