The tax department warned the public on Wednesday not to respond to a text message sent to mobile phones bearing its name.
The department said it was not responsible for the message which reads: Personal tax return 2017, From tax department, email enquiry@oceancash.com.my.
The department said it has been confirmed that this was a spam message and urged the public to delete it immediately without responding.
