TENDERS REVIEW TO HOLD HEARING ON NEW PAPHOS-POLIS CHRYSOCHOUS ROAD

 in-cyprus 15 September 2020 - by Annie Charalambous

The tenders review board for the planned new Paphos-Polis Chrysochous road is set to convene on Tuesday following an appeal submitted by one of the bidders.

Once the hearing is held, the tenders review board must rule within 45 days whether the tender was correctly awarded to the winning company or not, according to insiders.

The hearing had been initially scheduled for earlier but was postponed because the company filing the appeal is from Greece and its representatives could not travel to Cyprus because of restrictions imposed to contain the coronavirus outbreak.

The tender for the study and construction of the first phase of the new Paphos-Polis Chrysochous highway was launched in June last year. The total amount of the project is over €70 million and the timeframe is set to be three to four years.
