Week 4

I never truly realized the amount of slaves that came to North America. Even though 60 percent of South Carolina was black and nearly half of Virginia was black, it pales in comparison to the fact North America only recieved 2 percent of all the slaves that came from Africa. The slaves that did come to America brought along their own culture with them and were successful in intermingling thes two cultures to give them something all their own.
